they use them so that mud doesnt get clogged up in the tires and most are under contract with them

never seen that before! most places around me have a contract with goodyear... or had until goodyear stopped carrying their line of backhoe tires.

Thats a smaller grader and theres no power going to the front wheels. Im sure they are using them for less ground pressure
