they are just stock mounts on the axle.. pieces of flat stock with holes in them is all basically.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

I used the stock sway bar mounts on the u-bolt plates to mount the shocks on mine...the shock bushings slide right over them and bolt up with the original nuts and washers...then they go up to the frame in the stock shock location or my brother used the c-channel welded to the frame for upper mounts...

What did you get for tires, and how much did they cost?

TFPETS: Can you snap some pictures for me?

Tim: Ok, I cut those off a while ago. . .

Chris: I got 34/10.5/15 Interco LTBs from Summit Racing. They were $619 shipped. Do you still want one of my 33s? I'm using one of the good ones as a spare but your welcome to the other good one.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

That's not bad at all, the 33's I'm getting are going to cost me a hair over $700. The tires are only $500, but for $200 I get mounting, balancing, tire rotation, tire insurance (a wrench goes through it, they replace it for free) and a treadlife warranty for the life of the them.

And fvck yes I still want that spare

Update. . . kinda?: So TWO of my 34s came in the mail today. I have NO idea why only two came. But they came today, early even. They were supposed to come tomorrow but someone decided that I needed two today. Oh well, they'll be mounted on Friday. I CAN'T WAIT!

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

this is what my brother did for upper mounts, the stock s10 uppers wouldnt work with his because he pushed the axle about 2 inches farther forward than mine so they wouldnt line up...I will try to get a pic of the lower mounts tonight...

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

Funny story ACTUALLY. I was rolling them across campus but one of them had a Summit Racing catalog taped to it. The catalog was making it not go straight so when I went to cut the tape off I had to straddle the tire to hold it still. So technically, I have mounted one of my tires. It was quite enjoyable.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

Update: My third and fourth tire came in today. Once again I had to parade them across campus and into my Blazer. I actually think it's somewhat lucky they came two at a time because I don't know how well four 34s would have fit in my Blazer. On a side note the mounting may have to wait until Monday because I have to work all day tomorrow. We'll see what happens, I don't know if any place is open Saturday or not but I'll check.

Random thought while not paying attention in class: Did anyone here to have their exhaust relocated to clear the front drive shaft? It almost looks like I'll have to but I'd really rather not.
Let me know!

Why not use F250 shock mounts?

i think you can get away with running it how the exhaust is for now, just try not to compress your front left tire.. ?

Yes, I had my exhaust tucked under and around the transmission. Seems like it worked out great, so I'm happy with it.
