No need for that: http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f13/i-...1/#post4984079
![]() Torn boots aren't bad. I'd just be using them as spares for when I have one grenade on the trials. I have a nice set of rebuilt ones on my '91, but I can get the damn spindles off so I said f-it. |

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
I'll look at them, we weren't really careful when taking the IFS parts out. If they aren't too bad you can have them. Anything else you need? I got extra rims, real cheap and you don't have to have them shipped

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
I know it seems like I'm on a lot today, but thats because I'm waiting IMPATIENTLY on the junkyard to get my brake bracket part for me. It's the only thing holding the project up. After thats all set all that needs to be done is the drag link. All the brake plumbing is done now, I've been doing that all morning.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
Update: Tomorrow is the day Sally returns home. Tomorrow morning I need to bleed the brakes and put the wheels on, then drive it to the trailer and drive it home. I'll have pictures up a.s.a.p. tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
OKAY HERE THEY ARE!!!
Here's Sally on the trailer ready to go http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204519965 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520079 IFS Garbage http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520081 This is me attempting to get the pitman arm off http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520103 This is me starting to get the rear axle out http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520105 Here's how she sat after the springs were first hung http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520107 The D30 when first bolted in http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520113 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520137 NO ABS!!! http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520116 The 8.8 all bolted in http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520118 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520119 ALL DONE!!! for now. . . . http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520140 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520143 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520144 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204520147 That is what I have for now. I still have a ton of work ahead of me. Because I was so pressed for time I didn't get a chance to cut away all the brackets for the IFS. Also I have a leaky rear brake line to deal with. Other than that I just need to flex it out to get measurements for the shocks. I'll definitely get pictures of that for everyone. I hope you enjoy! |

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
I didn't say there weren't any hitches, we actually had a decent amount of problems. I was planning to write a full break down of the days of the week. Like what happened/didn't happen/NEEDED to happen for every day.
I'll do that later this afternoon/evening But thanks! I can't wait to see the 34s either, but my wallet can. . . . |

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
Marcua56: I'm doing 34/10.5/R15 Interco LTB's for tires and I'm not 100% sure what I'll do for rims. Probably just something inexpensive from Summit. But NOT Soft 8s, because everyone has Soft 8s and I want to be a little different.
Tim: I was planning on taking more pictures today but it's raining and it's shitty outside. So I'll get some soon, and thats great about the tires. Idk when I'll be getting mine, my bank account has to grow a little more before I can get them. Unless I get some used 33s to get me wheeling until my summer job starts. Anything specific pictures people want to see? I know some people will be interested in the crossover steer arm setup and how it turned out. |

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
I'm not 100% sure on that yet. I only drove the truck like a few hundred yards at 930 last night. And I'm not driving it again until I get everything buttoned up. I still need to fix a rear brake line that blew out like an hour before I started the swap. I also need to get my allignment better and Jam nuts a little tighter. I'll know hopefully by this weekend how it turns and drives.

Heres my crazy shackle angle http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577586 Heres how the leaf springs sit http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577587 Here are two good pictures of my steering set up http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577591 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577591 And here is how she sits, not exactly on level ground but you get the idea http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577587 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1204577608 |

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS
To me the shackle angle and the springs are perfect! that is exactly what you want it to look like with the springs flat...that thing is going to droop like crazy!! The only downside to that is the driveline angle gets insane when its at full droop...I had to clearence my yolks to keep it from binding...What springs did you end up using? Beleive it or not I will probably be in the middle of another SAS in a couple weeks...my brother is wanting to do his blazer now...we are going to the junk yard at lunch tommorow to get a d30 from an 87 yj with 4:11 gears...also might pick up a set of great looking dakota leaf springs they have for it...He is excited, I just hope Im ready for another scramble to do one of these...
