That is the same tread as what you'll be getting Chris.
Flex pix will be coming soon.
I was thinking about taking the BL off, we'll see though.
The lean is half the truck and half the driveway. It leans a little but it's not terrible.

How much clearance do you have under the front shackles?

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

I haven't actually measured how much clearance I have. They do hang kinda low. I plan to move the frame mount and put a smaller shackle on it soon.

Sweet!

And I 2nd the body lift removal motion.

Have you thought about putting the shackles on the front like Jeeps do? Those shackles do hang down very low.

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

Putting the shackles on the front would require a lot of modification. Once I put the shorter shackles on it'll be better.

Baggey, whats your spring perch width? Is there any way you can inboard the shackles instead of putting them right underneath the frame?

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

some, but not enough to clear the drivers side frame rail, at least not on my truck. mine are at 31.5" and my pass side one could go higher, but my drivers side frame rail stick in farther about 2".

Wow. I didnt think the Dana 30 had that wide of a perch width. Mine is at 31.5" CTC and thats fullwidth. Mine are also inboarded with the shackle about 2 inches up in the frame

Re: Project: 1995 s10 SAS

second and first gen frames are not the same, but they are similar. the z frame however may actually be symmetrical side to side unlike the regular 4x4's.

wreckd, did you have to modify the frame at all to mount them higher?

edit: also, YJ 30's have that perch width. CJ's do not, they are like 27". 70's ford, and chevy share the same width as well as scout and waggys, and dodge is just 1" wider at 32.5". 85-99 (or whenever the superduty took over) it was 36" or 36.5" and the superduties are a whopping 39" CTC.

No. I had 1" of clearence on each side between the frame and shackle mount. I put the bolt in from the inside, toward the frame, pushed it in til i could get the nut on, and then just ground down the bolt until it cleared without hitting the frame.

Did that make sense?

I know I didnt have to go past 31.5". But I'm not 100% sure theyre symmetrical. I think they are but I'll have to check tomorrow.
