Jeep Shackles

I just want to confirm that jeep yj shackles work on s/t-series. Is it rear or front shackles for yj's?

Re: Jeep Shackles

YJs have both front and rear shackles. Their suspension consists of leaf springs front and rear.
Yes the shackles will work on an s10/Blazer because the leaf springs are 2.5 inches wide.

Re: Jeep Shackles

On ebay, I saw auctions for both front and rear yj shackles. Will either work or is one better for our application?

I take it must be this link?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=140258864398

however you can buy a set from www.3leaffab.com for accurate size increase unless you know the length difference on yj and s10 which may give the lift too much or not enough

i would say judging on the picture, they would give very little lift. the look about in the 6" range, which is about 1" of lift. also, their "brace" is basically just for show, under abuse that shackle could still deflect because the brace is pointed the wrong way. it should run with the most amount of material running vertical not horizontal. all this assuming that these are the shackles in question. it also looks like we can beat their price, ours are $69.80 to your door. i've only got 2 sets of 2" ones left though, just food for thought.
