I just bought a brand new in the box Rancho suspension lift from a friend for $300. He bought a loooooooong time ago and never put it in, and has just had it sitting in his shed. In fact, he got it so long ago he can't remember how high of a lift it is.

The numer on the boxes is "6438." It includes a flip kit for the rear. Does anyone know what this part number is? I have heard they used to make a three inch lift, and then went to a two inch lift. I have not had a chance to look through all the parts yet, and try to measure some of the drop brackets. I did some searching online, and can not find that part number anywhere.

So were these good lifts? Were they junk? For $300 I just couldn't pass it up. I even got shocks, too.

Cool! I'll read between the lines on that one! Any idea where I could ID the part number for the height?

If it has a flip kit for the rear it's probably like 5" or 6"

That's what I was thinking, or hoping, anyway. That would make me very happy!

Best IFS lift kit for the 4x4 S-Series hands down!, even better then then my BDS kit!
The only reason I didn't list it in sticky on 4x4 lift kits was because the kit only fits 1st generation S10's and the kit has not been made in over 10 years.
The Rancho kit was listed as a 3 inch lift kit but everyone I know that installed that kit got between 4-5 inchs of lift and the kit retailed for $1599-$1999 so you got a hell of a deal

SWEET! Thanks. It will probably be a little while before I get to putting it in, but at least I have it! I just couldn't believe it when he said he had it. A month ago I asked how much he wanted for it, and he said "Come on over with three or four hundred dollars, and take it out of my shed!" I called him up last night and said "I have $300 cash, can we deal?" Went and got it today. The boxes are trashed, but all the parts inside are brand new and shiny. The nuts and bolts are all still in the bags just like they came.

Ok, I'm just gonna go and giggle for awhile! Me happy!

Good find man, those kits are ridiculously rare in the condition you found it in.

So, what sort of tweeks? Anything besides playing with the torsion bars? I definately want to get as much lift out of it as possible, but I want it to be solid, and I don't want to comprimise my CV's.
