use a normal sprinkle and let it set under your truck for a while then put it under another area for a while. Works for my brother, his neighbor and me.

i think the sprinkler thing will work better and be faster if you hit the undercariage with degreaser

Sprinkler works the best for me. Let it sit there for a while so everything gets nice and wet. Then go down there and blast it with a powerwasher or even a hose will work. The mud comes off so much easier when you saok it for a while tan to just start spraying.

The sprinkler under the truck works.
It soaks it down and loosens it up.

What I do is take my truck to the fire station and hit the undercarriage with a 1½ inch attack line...does wonders.

But for those without access to a fire engine, the sprinkler works great.
Relatively easy too...just turn it on, go make a sandwich, watch tv, go back out a while later and turn it off. Done.

i crawl under with a bathing suit and a garden hose... really the only true way to get the mud out of the small crevices. if you go through a lot of mud i'd suggest doing what i do at least once a year to keep the frame from rotting... the rest of the time you can use the garden sprinkler

That's what I always do when I wheel, and I try to do it before the mud has a chance to dry, it makes it a lot easier. Just get under it with a garden hose and a creeper (if you're on pavement) and go to town, but take your time and get all the "nooks and crannys". If you don't want to get a ton of mud in your driveway/yard then go to the carwash first and get the big clumps out.

Re: how to get all the mud out from underneath>?

if u wash your shit after you get mud there you wont have the caked on problem.

I think you should spray the whole truck down with aircraft paint striper.

I think you shouldnt comment things if you dont have a smart answer, the water sprinkler is a good idea and i think it will work...and i have sprayed it off right after mudding some of this was on there when i bought the truck...so not my fault!Oh and aircraft stripper um...let me think..."NO", I am getting ready to paint the truck....so don't think that'd work out to well!

Re: how to get all the mud out from underneath>?

When I used to mud the Plymouth we'd go to the carwash or a friends house who has a power washer. Hose works too with a nozzle on it. I have never heard of using a sprinkler...intresting, I'll remember that. If the mud that is caked in is dry hit the other side of the frame with a hammer. Never fails every time I'd be beating on something a damn chunk of mud would rattle off the frame on my head.

My solution has been to leave the mudding up to my friends and just take my truck in the dunes. The sand just blows off on the way home, doesn't get much lazier then that.
