95 Blazer solid axle swap

I just got done with the hard part of welding everything on the truck. I did a solid axle swap using a Ford Dana 60 rear and Ford HP Dana 44 front. I used sky manufacturing front 2" drop hanger and there front rear shackles as well. I have full size chevy leafs in the rear minus the 2 bottom leafs and a 3 inch block. Used the blazer rear main leaf with 4 full size chevy leafs in the front. I have 38x15.50x16.5 tires on 16.5x12 rims. I am still in the process of finishing up the steering, brakes and driveshafts. Just wanted to post up and let everyone see how it turned out. We started this project on Thursday Aug. 14 and finished up Friday Aug. 15th. Hope you guys enjoy. Post up some comments and whatever. Thanks for looking!!

Do you have any pics showing the whole vehicle? Maybe from the side.

Re: 95 Blazer solid axle swap

i hate to tell you, but your shackle angle looks terrible. you will get virtually no suspension travel and will likely have a hell of a time on the road. the angle would look great if the spring was coming in from the other side, but as it is you will get zero down travel and probably little up travel. this is because the spring eye has to travel down for the axle to move up, and that basically counter productive.

Re: 95 Blazer solid axle swap

I am going to try and post up some better pics today. The pic of the shackle was with no weight on it thats why it has an angle like it does.

I don't know a hell of a lot about SAS'd rigs but damn, if anything that looks pretty good with those tires. Just need some more tread though.

Re: 95 Blazer solid axle swap

Yeah the tires are pretty wore but I only gave $100 for the tires on rims and sold the rims for $150. So it doesnt bother me to run them till I get my new ones. It turned out better than I thought it would. Thanks for the comments guys keep'em comin

are you wanting spring pack thickness or from the top of the axle tube to the leaf bushing?

Re: 95 Blazer solid axle swap

Blazer looks sick!~ How far do the tires stick out from the fenders? 15.50's look real phat with the 12" rims. I like the clear tails also, where did you get yours from?
