The only problem with a body lift is that I wont be able to run the headers I want. What about adding a spindle lift witha suspension lift, 2" or so.

spindles and coils are for 2wd's. i only made the suggestion for a BL because you mentioned you wanted to keep the fenders intact.

as for trimming them, its not that bad. its mostly the corners of the fenders that need trimming, not the whole thing, and most of that is specifically the rear of the front fender. on my 89, i trimmed just a little bit (in my eyes) and i was able to clear 32's without any lift and infact you could say it was lowered about an inch just from the t-bars sagging after a trip or two. you can see from the pics, that rear of the front fender sometimes requires a little persuasion with a BFH, as mide did. however, even with 32's i only heard it rub maybe once and that was "flexed out" as well as the IFS could flex. it did however rub the frame and swaybar everytime simply because of the BS on stock rims.

If i were to get some of those bushwacker extend a fender flares, will it cover up most of my trimming?

possibly. i think you can even get the "cut out" fender flares and they will give you more room and still give it that clean look. i might run those if i wasnt cheap, and if they held up the impact better.

I might do that, i like the look of the wheel tucked away in the fenders where they're suspose to be, but my 31's rubbed inside the front tub on the 4" bl it had, what can you do to trim that out?

Yeah, the cut-outs are the way to go if you're trimming and putting on wider/bigger tires. If you find a place that carried them for a decent price LMK, I'd like to get myself some.

jc whitney usually carries all that stuff, and you can find a lot of their stuff is about $100 less then any where else. they also have a pretty good way of isolating items for you specific vechicle. that is where i am going to get mine when it comes time to.

BTW, where did you find your graphic for your truck. i'd really like to get something like that?

The cartoon sig? I made it in a combo of MS Paint & photoshop. There's a thread in the photoshop board about pixel sigs - but good luck having someone make one for you!

Re: 4X4 S10 Lift Kits

What's up guys? I've been mostly doing slammed trucks but now I just bought a 96 blazer 4dr 4wd with a bad motor for $350. I got a motor for it already and I should have my TM 5" lift tomorrow. Planning 33x11.5 or close to that. Will post pics when there is something to see.

Great info in this thread..

Re: 4X4 S10 Lift Kits

I just bought my S10 truck and it has a custom made 8in body lift. I wanna take it off but I still want to be able to clear my 33 x 12.50 Thornbirds. Does anyone know how much of a lift I will need to clear those tires? If you can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Mike

shackles if you want to keep the spring rate the same, AAL's if you want to increase the payload.
