will a t5 work on 4.3

I got a buddy with a 383 stroker motor that wants to sell me the t5 tranny out of it. Its just rebuilt and comes with the tranny bell housing and shifter clutch and all that.. Will this tranny work on the 4.3.

it will work, but normally t5's are too weak even for a 4.3, but I assume he has a WC, so you should be okay.

I hope it's built because he probably beat the hell out of it.

yeah he used it hard and it grenaded on him and he got it rebuilt up. I am debating just not doing a swap since theres lots of money involded that I really shouldnt spend on it.

i'm pretty sure the T5 came on s10's till they started using NV3500's
