Transmission filter kit

Anybody knows which automatic transmission filter kit to get for a 2000, 2.2 Vin 5? I remember when I changed the transmission oil and filter 5 year ago. The auto parts showed two types, I took one and of course it was the wrong one. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to keep the box or write down the info. Now I am right back to the same problem. Thanks

Re: Transmission filter kit

I assume you got a 4L60E auto trans...
I googled it and found this on inet...

I used a NAPA filter kit, p/n 1-9750, which included the filter, seal, and a cork gasket. I don’t prefer the cork gaskets, so I bought a rubber one while I was there. The p/n was 1-7381. Since GM seems to have severely over torqued the drain plugs from the factory, I decided to pick one up from the local dealer. The p/n for the drain plug is 24213991
go here if you want the R&R procedure.... > HERE <

hope this helps..

Re: Transmission filter kit

I wish I had a Silverado, mine has no drain plug. Our trannys take the deep pan filter.

Thanks, I do not know the transmission model, I thought the vin number would help but it did not. The local Advance auto suggested I take both and return the on used one.
