trans is going out..
Got a pretty bad.. solid grind/vibration coming from my 5 speed. It happens every time I drive my truck, in all gears. I'm wondering if it may just be the vibrations from a bad motor mount.
thoughts? Btw, what is a good price for a good used 5 spd? Or a new one. My current trans has got a good 140k on it already, its probably time for a swap. Anyone selling one near florida? |

Re: trans is going out..
I look forward to the responses of this one. I also have the five speed in my 2.2l
In my situation, I get a vibration and slight grumbling around 2000 rpm in all gears. |

Re: trans is going out..
![]() Bump. anyone have any thoughts? motor mounts, catalytic controller, ecu bearing? I know it seems pretty straight forward as being a trans problem, but it still shifts perfectly and doesn't have any metal in the oil.. And I'm still looking for a 5 speed. preferably a fairly recent overhaul. under 40 or 50k miles. |
