Tranny Gear help 2.5iron duke 5spd

Ok i got a 2.5 iron duke in me little chev 5spd
I recently changed the tranny fluid just to some synth gear oil.
I found now if i rev the first gear above about 2700 rpm when i shift to second the gear grinds giving that awful no clutch kinda sound.
It only does it between first and second and only on higher rpm. The other gear shifts can be done at ~4000 rpm and no issues.
anyone know what this may be and if there are any remedies?

thanks
Ian

2nd synchro is bad. take a little longer putting it in gear and it'll be fine.
