Sway in truck

ok i have a 99 extended cab sonoma and it has some sway in the rear end. it only happens between gears or when u let off the gas and then go back in it. just trying to get some ideas of what it might be.

loose axle ubolts or broken main leaf or shackle will cause that

my old truck did the same thing. of throttle it would track straight. on throttle it would dog leg.

turned out to be bad leafspring bushings

aight i will try to look at the leafsprings, i put 3" blocks in there bout 4 years ago, so that could be the problem

or in that case the locating pins may have sheared too.
but remember, the ubolts need torqued to 80ft lbs. not hand tightened

try tightening the u-bolts, thats what was causing it on mine, and for the time being you might not have to pull everything apart if thats the case.

thanks for the help guys, turns out that it was the u-bolts, they were pretty loose so i tightened them up.
