no reverse or third

hey guys i need some help with my tranny
i gotta 350 turbo out of a 69 camaro
i put a b&m rebuild kit n it and stage 2 shift kit n it
it has park, no reverse, neutral, drive only has 1st n 2nd no third, then has 2nd n 1st
i rebuilt it myself with the help of an old tranny man which cant see very well so im thinkin i prolly left something out
any idea wat would cause this

cracked direct piston, or the lip seal in the direct drum is ripped, torn, or not installed.

am i gonna have to tear the insides of the tranny apart to fix this?

or is the blue thing the piston

the blue thing is the piston. and that looks like a 400 drum.

ya i think it said it was a 400 but im gonna go to the shop n give this a shot ill b back n a lil while

ok i went took apart n i found it n i think there was two of them but i took them both apart n 1 had 4 seals n they were all good n the drum n piston were good, the other one had two seals n drum n piston were good also,
these are about half way down inside the tranny

did you air check it before you ripped it apart?

no but i did after i put it back together lol n i was readin a gmm tranny book n it said theres a valve n the tranny called a 2-3 shift valve thats sticks and it cause reverse to not work or stick n wont let it shirt to 3rd

did the trans try to shift to 3rd, and rev up, or did it just stay in 2nd gear?

no it just stayed n second but u could kinda feel it pull if u rev'd it way up in reverse

Sounds like burnt out friction/clutch plates in the transmission. its like its only got 1% torque of what it should.

the tranny only has about 1 mile on it n everything was replaced that should b replaced with an b&m complete overhaul kit
idk but i wouldnt think reverse would burn, n 1st n second still work
