Manual Trans Rebuild
Ive got a 95 S-10 2.2L. I decided to rebuild the engine at 162,xxx and i figured if Im gonna fully rebuild the engine, why not rebuild the tranny.
The only problem with it is, when shifting from 1st to 2nd it likes to jump out of 2nd, but if i hold it in for a sec it stays, same with downshifting from 3rd. So I did some searching and found nothing. so i was wondering if anyone knew of a rebuild kit for it or would i be better off letting a local shop just do it. My only guess is the syncronizer is worn or damaged. Its been like this since about 130,xxx. it shifts smooth (besides 2nd gear) and have had no other problems. Thanks guys. |

Re: Manual Trans Rebuild
before you buy that kit, let me check my supplier, and see if i can get a better kit for less. and when you get it apart, when you put the blocker ring on the gear for 2nd, make sure you have about a millimeter, or 44 thou clearance, or it will pop out again.
