Driveline Vibration under deceleration

When i let off the gas you can hear vibration. At first it sounded like it was in the front of the truck but when i opened the rear sliding window it sounds like its in the driveshaft/rear. Any ideas?

Re: Driveline Vibration under deceleration

could be the diff... the gear tooth angle is such that under decel, the pinion is pushed toward the diff carrier. if the pinion bearing goes bad, the pinion travels toward the carrier and if it's bad enough, it'll hit it. grab the rear u joint and shake... if hte u-joint shakes, replace it, if the pinion shakes, you need a rear end rebuild or a new rear end.
