i have a 94 4.3 auto trans. i got done washing it today and got in it, started it up, and it was at a very high idle, then, when i put it in gear, it took alot of pedal to get it to move. could this be the torqe converter or something simple??

Re: converter?

By washing it do you mean engine compartment and underside, or just the outside? Most likely water got in something electrical in the engine and it's not trans related.
