Clutch really spongey. Please help!

Okay I just installed a new clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder, and also a junkyard t-5. I tried bleeding the clutch by pressing the shaft into the slave slowly and having someone top off the reservoir if it was low. My clutch pedal still drops all the way to the floor, no pressure at all. I watched the slave cylinder through the bellhousing and it barely moves. Do I need to bleed it more?? Please help!

SH-60B can only hope to improve
Re: Clutch really spongey. Please help!

Try pumping the pedal about 100 times and see if you are getting a firmer pedal. I know it souds ridiculos but it should only take you 2 or 3 minutes. It worked on mine when I replaced the slave. The slave I bought came with these instructions. I got a useable pedal out of it and it got better after a couple days driving it.

Hey thanks a million. I was able to start the truck without it jumping forward. I have enough clutch to drive it around my road now. Hopefully it will improve with time.
