97 Blazer 4l60e What Years Will Interchange

Im needing to know what 4l60e trannys will work in my 97 2wd blazer.Will one out of a 2000 s10 or blazer work?Thanks for any help.Mine has lost reverse and i need to try to find one.

Sorry to say you are wrong here ...... I have a 2001 Extreme 4L60E in my 97 Jimmy and it works great with no issues. Everything bolted up perfect.

I have the old tranny from my 97 Jimmy if you are located in Florida .. will let ya have it cheap.

I put a 2001 Extreme 4.3L engine and tranny combo in my Jimmy so I didnt use my old tranny which was working fine when pulled .... the engine threw a rod and a cam bearing so it was cheaper to buy the combo then rebuild my motor

apparently you are wrong my friend. if you done the whole swap then thats why your setup works fine. he would not be able to use any other tranny assuming he does not change the engine.

Actually, its the PCM he'd have to swap, the tranny would bolt up to the motor, the PCM wouldn't know how to run it
