8.5 10 bolt or ford 8.8

Hey guys, I am putting a V8 in my 95 dime and want to get rid of the stock open rear with 3.08's. I have two rear ends to choose from, I have a ford 8.8 out of a 93 lightning with 4.10's and posi. I also have an 8.5 out of a 2005 yukon that I really don't know much about except that it has a pretty low gear. I know im going to need to have the axle tubes shortened and custom axles made either way, but from personal experience and such, which rear end would you guys reccomend/prefer?

Neither, both of those rears are way too wide. If you're going with an 8.8" use a rear out of an Explorer (even that you should narrow, but if you do the 2 right side axle trick, it will be close) and if you want an 8.5" find one in an S10
