12 bolt info for install

i have a 2002 s10 xtreme xcab
i put a moser 12 bolt rear end in and i will list all problems i had and how to fix it................................................ .................................................
problems i ran into were :

1)bump stops needed to be cut off and after market ones installed in the right spot $20

2)axle tubes are larger so it will lower your truck about 3/4 inch

3)you will need larger u bolts $20

4)drive shaft will not fit .. fixed it by doing a 1 peice alum. drive shaft made by www.supershafts.com $500
in some cases you will need to cut a small drive line tunnel .. i didnt have too

5)not needed but i did a z06 rear disc conversion made by www.flynbye.com $800

Re: 12 bolt info for install

I fix the drive shaft problem on the Moser rear ends. Moser doesn't use the right yoke when doing them, but I do. I've sold several of the Moser 12 bolt rear ends to Syclone and Typhoon owners and fixed it so that they could use the original drive shaft. The plate that goes under the spring needs to be modified too so that the 3 inch u bolts will line up with the holes in the plate.
