Re: SuicideDoors section?

they are no longer called suicidedoors.com, and they probably stopped paying forum sponsor fees

I was wondering the same thing... I messaged Ricky a while ago about this and I'm still waiting for a response.

Are they still making the budget arms?

Re: SuicideDoors section?

Nah, after SD.com they split up, so they changed the name to quality air ride, well "air ride" is owned by firestone, same reason air ride technologies changed to ride tech. So now its thorbros.

Re: SuicideDoors section?

I think its in large part due to rising sponsorship costs that auto guide is demanding. The smaller shops don't view it as cost effective so they drop the sponsorship. This forum is hittin the shitter haha

Re: SuicideDoors section?

SD has probably squeezed most of their moneys worth out of this site by now, not worth it to pay for sponsorship anymore. S10's have been discontinued for 10 years now, cant be too many "noobs" baggin S10's these days.

That's so stupid. I'd never wait that long for some parts you can buy elsewhere.

Re: SuicideDoors section?

Heard too many bad things about the mmw ones. I don't want to take any chances. I've ran strong arms before and always wanted the SD ones so I'll wait. Definitely seem to be the best on the market, I just hope they come in soon!

Re: SuicideDoors section?

Just about the quality of the welds. Someone I know ordered upper and lowers powder coated and they were packed poorly and got all bang up in the shipping. We also noticed the welds were no better than I could do with my little 120 mig.
This was also a couple years ago. I'm sure they have come along way. By no means am I trying to slam the company or turn away business for them. The jeebus joints are definitely sick!

Made no difference to me since my truck has been on jack stands for 3 years. Definitely worth waiting for. 4 months may seem long to some people who need parts now, I understand that, but when you produce a great product that everyone wants, you tend to fall behind. That, itself, should say something about SD as a company.

Re: SuicideDoors section?

waiting months for parts you dont need is one thing

waiting for parts that they promised you multiple time were going to be there 3 months ago is different. I'll never buy from suicide doors again, they have gone downhill in the past couple years

I always planned on running SD parts, specifically arms, but after reading all this ill likely go with MMW. Cheaper too.

Re: SuicideDoors section?

They have been going down hill for a couple years now... I've been to their shop seeing as its only down the road from me really. It was pretty disorganized. Nice dudes and they make nice stuff, but I wont order anything through them. So much stuff is out of stock on their website too. Kinda unfortunate if you ask me..

Re: SuicideDoors section?

Seeing they are so behind on orders you would think they would hire some extra help. Maybe they could actually keep their customers happy for once.

This. Its basic business sense. Swamped with work? Hire more help. Its a simple concept that they refuse to follow, and as such their business is being negatively affected by it. They could of made two or three times more business if they understood the simple fact that people don't like waiting for parts they ordered and paid for months ago.

Re: SuicideDoors section?

I havent ordered anything from em for a few years just because everything is behind. Also there website hasnt been updated in a year so hard to know whats goin on. It used to be the happening thing but sound like MMW is taking the spot of that. Sucks cuz suicidedoors did a lot for this forum and had a lot of great giveaways that everyone appreciated, now seeing them go downhill is a bummer. I know I would def be pissed if I had to wait over 6 months for something esp if I was told it would only be half that. I mean I kinda doubt they get thousands of orders for control arms so why is it taking so long exactly? Its just sad to see a business that in my mind boosted the mini truck scene in a sence, just go down hill so quickly.
