Been driving around for about three years with my bag over axle setup...Finally decided I've had enough. Redoing the notches back.
Any usefully advice, tips, anything would be greatly appreciated. Always nice to hear those during bulids like this.
Here's the start....
2x4" tubing 3/16" thick

well got some more work done today. got the rear crossmember installed so basically my backhalf is ready for bag mounts and whatnot...
the front c-channel is just a stringer tacked on for now
also i got my notch crossmember cut out and it's ready to be bent up. i'm not too sure on how to use the break at work so i'll just wait til monday.

going in a little different route than just a 1.5" bar. i'm using 3/16" plate. it'll make more sense my next post.
what do you guys think so far?

besides the notches being smoothed out i'm trying to show off the worksmanship in seeing every weld. i personally think it just looks more badass.

I totally agree, keep up the sick ass work.
FYI, I had my whole back half sandblasted and powdercoated for under 200 bucks. I thought that was pretty reasonable considering it was like 30 parts (SD bolt 5-link).
