Damn. I'm very impressed with all the work you've done Dave. Once I get the money to bag my truck, I'm calling you. Not that I have the money right now, but how long is the wait?? I know you have a lot of other customer trucks to finish, but what's the time frame??

Re: [Project] Feature S-10 Reconstruction

Theres no easy way to make it look nice, that entire axle was ground down to shiny metal then primered and painted with chassis epoxy paint that I buy from Eastwood. Hopefully itll last but road debris likes to take chunks out of it..

Re: [Project] Feature S-10 Reconstruction

You could theoretically use a strong enamel or put on a thick layer of rubberized undercoating for it to last but I think the way AV did it is probably amongst the best considering as he said road debris.

Re: [Project] Feature S-10 Reconstruction

Re: [Project] Feature S-10 Reconstruction

I wouldn't as much worry about it getting chipped as nasty looking, your gonna pick up rubber, dirt, and everything else that's on a normal road (that nasty crud that's all over your axles currently) before too long.
