Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s

my lift from laying frame with no pressure from the bags yet. i can get atleast 1'' more lift from the bag pressure locking up the front suspension.

the little shop truck you mentioned. def does not get as much lift. i am not hating on the truck here. just posting pics.

Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s

I do not get why it's such a secret on what arm's lay out...
I think it just dumb.

In one post you could end all this bull-crap about: it lays, no it don't.

I think its kind of juvenile to keep on with it.
Say what you want its just my opinion.

actually now that i think about it... barely legals unijoint arms lay that size out just fine... its just the 1000 price tag that is kinda painful.

i think it ignorant for people to always say a certain brand control arm wont lay out on a certain size wheel when they never have had that control arm.

people repeat what they read online all the time when most of the time its not factual.

well you dont need unijoint anything to lay big wheels.

this is a 29'' tall tire ( 275-25-24 ) laying frame without uniball joint anything.

this is also laying frame on stock spindles.

the upper balljoint is totally maxed out with the 24s. but it does lay out.
would it better to have a balljoint with more articulation? sure. always.

with the 22s on it the balljoints are in alot better shape.

fact is you can lay frame on stock spindles with 22s or 24s if you are not afraid to do a little work.

i spent a little time a couple weeks ago reading old posts and its so funny that when 1 person posts and says something. 10 people repeat it like its factual. then it turns into 100 ect ect

so then u get tons of people posting that something that they have no actual hands on experience with.

thats the facts of the situation.

wow just state the facts so you can clear up these so called misconceptions. all you are doing it making people even more illinformed until you give us the info. why so secretive? the point of a forum is to help people out, so instead of being all secretive why not post up helpful information, especially since you are a moderator you can post it in the sticky thread, you can solve every bit of illinformed information running around on this forum by posting a helpful summary of what you know to be true in the sticky thread ofr everyone to always be able to reference. whatever....do what you want, stay secretive, and be selfish by holding back "the facts:

if this is so true and you say the forum is for helping people, then why if some people ask simple questions you make stupid comments and tell them to search? i mean, you have one of the nicest trucks on this site and no one can say shit about that, but sometimes you come out as a dick when the whole time on ur thread people were more than willing to help you out and give u the info u needed.

wait what? i mean i might throw out a smart ass comment in a joking way here and there but i am pretty sure ive always been very willing to help. I post up links to helpful things all the time for people. I thought i was doiing a good job returning the favor. And I dont think I have ever told someone to just search before, because i hated it when people said that to me. I apologize if i ever did that to anyone, but I cant think of a single time i just said "search" without also posting the answer or point thing in the direction of an answer at the least. I wouldnt be anywhere close to where I am today if it wasnt for the help of all the s10forum members.

To me those don't look like stock spindles...it could just be the side pic but it doesn't look like it has as much camber as stock ones would. The lift definitely looks like stock though.

So what are you doing about the booster? My 20's on 255/35's with stock spindles have a cunt hair before they hit my 7" booster.

i guess we will just have to stick it out and drive our trucks with drops and no lift If he is really running stocks i for one would like to see some details since i can't even untuck tire in the front with 20's.

the only thing i can think of is that he shortened the lower control arm to reduce the amount of camber when the truck lays out but when you do that you get positive camber when aired up? and i don't see that.

i agree also you cant see anything. Its a straight on picture. plus there are no bags in there so the suspension can swing down more. Ill believe it when i see it sitting on air at full lift and tucking a 22!

definately, posting a picture of the wheel tucking and a seperate pic of the skidplate laying doesn't prove anything. i think he just likes the attention, (hence his adjustable bodydrop thread that is so amazing but never goes anywhere) more power to him.

i just think its absolutely stupid to keep things secretive like this. this is the exact reaction he's wanting out of it so he's gettin his jollies. he thinks its dumb that people say wrong things about what will lay, yet he wont give you actual facts of which arms will lay on certain size tires. so good job on helping out the mis informed
