Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
you and me both brotha, i saw ur posts in the other thread only reason i ask, they looked insanely huge i didnt even know if you were going to attempt them on this truck or not but they looked good on the 150, which looks very familiar its been in a few domination videos if im not mistaken right? trucks lookin great man i really wish i had contact with people with the kind of space youve got my truck would be torn up, but keep up the work hopefully you make the deadline i cant wait to see those rockers getting slammed off, and ive got a feeling the bed carnage is going to be great if u dont mind taking a few extra pics of how you sf the bed its somthing ive been considering doing when ive got the bed off for the 4 link but most people dont seem to take very many pics when they do it? maybe because its so simple but im not sure, either way would be cool. edit - if u dont feel like posting a bunch of, heres were i cut or what not pics in ur thread just save um and pm them to me so i can go back for future reference Last edited by JollyRojer : 04-03-2008 at 12:52 PM. |

right on man, i figure ive got the fuel cell, and im doing the four link why not just go all out and bd the bed i know since your doing a stockfloor its probably going to be a bit differently but it will at least give me some ideas for the backhalf and placement and such go crazy with the posting and if i see anything i dont understand or need clarifying im gonna blow up your pm box or IM lol if i get annoying with the question asking, feel free to tell me to piss off.

Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
i have drop spindles. but i get a little more lift with the stock spindles. but with the stock spindles, there is more camber and the wheels do sit in further. so i am not sure what i will use permanantly. i was just playing around and was curious to see if i could get the truck to lay out with the stock spindles with the 22s and 24s. i guess i will decide once its bodydropped and i have bags in the front. then i can see what kinda actual lift i get with the drop and stock spindles. even if you can lay on stock spindles with 22s won't it camber in so hard it hit the booster or hydrobooster.

do you have an engine bay pic of you layin that 24 with stock spindles. I want to see how far it cambers in. Or did you modify something to keep it from cambering in and hitting the booster

for the cable..
get it from summit racing. Lokar universal 36" cable. that is what I used and everyone else I know.. Takes some tinkering to get it right.. but it works perfect and looks good |

Camber looks good with the 22s. I just don't see how you aren't going to have and move the booster. Xtucking22s had a hydrobooster with 22s and tried stock spindles and it cambered in and layed on his hydrobooster. Hope he don't mind me showing this pic.

Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
i still dont get it. your lifted pics look very simular to what you would get on a truck with drop spindles. the red truck that little shop built is on 24's and drops and get the same if not more lift with drop spindles. the camber is also simular.
this is stock spindle camber and only 20's. it is my firneds truck and i help him build it. sd arms. ![]() ![]() i'm not hatin or anything but you might want to double check which spindles you are using. my truck is bded, 22's, and drop spindles and i had to move my 7" booster over 2" because of the camber... the red truck in these pics had to be hydro boosted in order to keep from moving the booster mounts. if it was body dropped the booster would of had to been put under the dash or something. |

dont forget once you get an allignment it will camber in even more. So the truck lowdime96 just posted above i imagine might have a lot of shims in there giving it al that camber

that truck has barely any shims. maybe 2 rear post and maybe 4 in the front post of the cross-shaft. it was alligned. also note the toe-out. truck was alligned to be driven just barely untucking tire.

Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
oh and....
stock one on the left drop spindle on the right ![]() I am not tring to say that you do not know your shit when it comes to s10's. i know what you are capaible of doing to a vehicle. i simple think you made the mistake and bolted the wrong spindle on the truck. lets put it this way. lets pretend that you left the suspension alone with the 24's bolted up and you body dropped the truck. where did the lift go? you are just barely untucking tire now which is normal on a body drop with drop spindles. i can bolt up my stock tires or 22's and it untucks almost the same amount because the wheel does not change the location of the axle in perspective to the fender, however a body drop or drop spindles will. hell my bros red truck untucks about 6-8" of tire at full lift and stock spindles, way more than your setup is getting. Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
All I was trying to say about it was it was going to take alot more to use the stock spindle with 22's. I know its possible, but I don't believe its possible without modifing the location of the booster. And with a 24 and a stock spindle the booster would be in to the side of the motor.

take a pic from the backside of the wheel showing the spindle and the location of the arms.. What type of arms are you using...? cause most brands avalible now wont layout a 22" wheel on a stock spindle... unless you modified them?

Re: Project -Beat 2 Death- 2ooo sonoma bagged stock floor bodydropped on 22s
my pics right now are just jacking the frame up. no pressure from the bags to lock the front suspension up. i have about 20 sets of spindles here. stock s10, stock blazer, 2'' drop s10 spindles and 2'' drop blazer spindles. i am sure i know the differance. i will try to get some bags bolted in there soon to see what the actual numbers are. |
