ok ive been dealing with this prob for a while when i got the ass droped down while driving im getting a weard vibration from the rear end everything is straight and the pinion angle is good. Ive herd some people talk about having to shorten the drive shaft up could that be whats wrong ? ive had the truck up on a lift and still couldnt figure it out ?

its the SD 5 link i believe you can. You may have your lowers to tight and your rear bars too tight. Loosen the rear bars a little that will push the bottom of the axle back then loosen the rear bars that will counter the work you did on the front lowers. You'll only be able to make a slight change tho because of the wishbone length. If it doesnt work you may need to shorten that driveshaft

Re: Project Air Ride

Well had a rare day off so did a little work on the old truck today. I didnt really do a clean job with all the wireing for everything i just kind of had it all shoved behind the pas seat. I pulled the seat out and tucked all the wires and other shit underneith.

Re: Project Air Ride

Ah. I had a drivetrain noise back when the rear was static and monoleafed (Works, but oh my god.. It rides HORRIBLE) and it was the rear end rotating a little when i accelerated and causing the rear universal joint to be at a bad angle.

I was just thinking that may be something to look at,even though you're bagged & linked.

Could the drive shaft be bottoming out in the transmission causing your U-joints to bind?

Re: Project Air Ride

Check all the way forward cause there is the little hump that drops down. I tunneled my driveshaft and didn't do that part and it was still hitting. it was only when the front was aired up to 50 and the rear was dumped. I was pissed.

Re: Project Air Ride

So the sounds happens when your driving real low? or nose up ass low? or completely up? i have a feeling you have to shorten your driveshaft just alittle bit. I dnt know if you can do it, but put the truck in the position that it makes the noise and crawl under and try to remove the driveshaft. if you can't slide it forward...there's your answer. probably easiest is if you can get it on a 4 post lift you drive up on.
