Old thread I know but instead of making a new thread I figured I'd post my question here and soon to follow, pics of my steelies on my bagged 94 Sonoma... I am looking at getting 16" or 17" Wheel Vintique chrome steelies and painting the centers and running wide whites later down the road. What offset are you guys with the aftermarket steelies and laying frame using? Will 4" backspacing work? I most likely will go with 16" because of price difference on the rims themselves and tires, plus the wide whites will still look fine without the lower sidewall profile of a 17".
Thanks in advance for any info! (Yes I know the whole backspacing thing was mentioned on these forums a million times but in my case it's for a bagged laying frame sonoma with chrome steelies 16").

14" steelies off of several different things, 1/2 ton chevy caps stripped and repainted, who knew they were chrome underneath that black and yellow. Picture with the red bed is it in its current state, I know there is overspray on the tires, didnt get a chance to clean them up before it got dark. Bed is getting color matched soon.

stepside was trashed, all the inner bracing cut out, shavers had been drug off multiple times and were held on with zip ties and self tappers, passenger fender was really beat up, looked like someone had tried to fix it once before and done a really bad job, inside was wayyyy over cut for the notches, someones kid hacked up a good stepside. I prefer a fleetside anyways.

Just wondering. Didn't look bad in the pics, I'm sort of looking for a bed, and you're within driving distance of me. I was going to try and talk you out of it, but no need to now.

i sold it for 50$ to a body guy, and then went and got this bed for 50$ lol, but i also got 2 tickets that cost me 628$ when i went to get it, i know someone with a stepside that wants to trade for a fleetside tho.
