Tank and compressor setup for the time being..Its a Blowjax POS compressor, it fills up fast when it works. Dont use these if its cold where you live. This one froze up overnight and I had to heat the bish up to move the truck :\

Na this was the compressor. I disconnected it from the tank and brought it inside and hooked it up to a big truck battery to get it to kick over..

I don't remember what mounts they were, whether they were suicidedoors.com or FBI..Brian bought stuff from all over. They were straight cut mounts tho, and only required me to trim a little on the inside edge of the pocket instead of eyebrowing the frame.

BTW you can see in that under truck shot that the back lip of the spring cup has been cut off to provide clearance for the bag..

Your switch job cant be worse than how mine was when i was wiating for my ps controller. I had 4 rocker switches pushed into the cover of a book. It was ghetto as hell.

a book! rofl..
I went outside and broke into a old car and stole the door lock switches from it. SPDT momentary toggles..perfect! and they have a real nice action to em hehe I did that because Brian didnt have his switch box with him so its just temporary.. |

Yeah the book was bad but its all i had to work with at the time. Thats idea with the switches isnt to bad thought, i dont have power locks in my truck i could put one of those switches in my door to use when i drag and it would look completely factory.

ya, that's not a bad idea, for the 2nd gen if you don't have power anything to get the piece from a junkyard, and wire your switches up. Would kinda suck though being right-handed and all.

Dammit TJ I explained why it was done like that! ass...lol
JL I explained on the other page that the rear lip of the pocket was clearanced (with a sawzall), but the frame did not need to be eyebrowed. The mounts Brian bought were free floating straight cut style. Supposedly you don't need to cut the frame when you install them, but I dont believe anything until I see it. (All the mounts I installed before this one were the offset style that required the frame to be eyebrowed.) Well I checked the bags at full inflation and complete contraction and noticed that there was indeed a minimal 1/2" buffer zone around the bag at all times. I was confident that there would be no problems so I left it as is. When we do the rear setup the front will definetly get a once-over to assure that there are no abrasion issues.. |

yah definatly... i have strait cut style.. but my top cups arnt as tall as those so it sinks into the coil pocket more.. so it need to be eyebrowed... but those look like they will be fine i was just making sure. but he is gonna have laying issues if he ever decides to lay the frame out cuz the top mounts on those are way to big they will restrict how far the truck is aloud to go down. then you will have to cut the cups then cut the pocket :-P you can lay frame on an s-10 with out using 2inch spindles.

I know about the spindles, but why did you mention it? He is using the spindles tho..
Ya I know about the cup. Its fine for now because the tires are too tall..He might wanna take the wheelwells out and if that happens then we can determine what needs to be cut. |

i dunno just thought i would add it in there to let everyone know. alot of people think that you need to have spindles in order to lay out with bags. :-P
