OASIS FACTS and info.

This will be the start of more to come.

1. THERMAL CUT-OFF SWITCH - Protects motor by turning unit off when motor gets too hot. Resets automatically.
2. CONTROL WIRE - Connection point for pressure switch or dash switch.
3. LOW VOLTAGE CUT-OFF - “Smart” technology turns compressor off if voltage drops to protect motor.
4. LOW VOLTAGE INDICATOR - Alerts when voltage is low.
5. HIGH FLOW - Swedish Steel valves.
6. AIR FILTER- HD filter with replaceable element.
7. COMPRESSED AIR OUTLET - Connects to air hose. Can be rotated 360°.
8. YORK COMPRESSOR - Twin cylinder. 10 cubic inch High-Output unit.
9. HD ROLLER BEARINGS - at both ends of crank shaft.
10. CRANK CASE BREATHER - Bronze filter is easily removed to check oil level.
11. MOUNTING PLATE - Steel housing designed for easy bolt-on installation.
12. HEAVY-DUTY COUPLER - Provides a direct drive connection.
13. 5 HP MOTOR - modified winch motor runs on 12v or 24v DC.

INSTALLATION TIPS

Oasis compressors have a small ‘foot print’ and can be mounted almost anywhere, in a truck bed... in a ventilated trunk... in a storage compartment of a utility truck... under a service truck... on the front bumper of an off road vehicle... or on a detachable mount. There are several factors that must be considered in every installation:
Checking oil with the dipstick provided.
Adding oil through the vent fitting using the cap as a funnel.

1. Ventilation. The Oasis will get hot! It must be located in an area where it will get airflow.
2. Service Access. Mount the compressor in an area where it will be easy to check the oil and replace the filter element.
3. Mount to a sturdy surface. If you are off roading or working on a construction site, your vehicle takes a beating. Make sure the compressor base plate is bolted to the vehicle frame or a sturdy bracket.
4. Make a good battery connection. The Oasis compressor comes with special battery cables. They must be connected directly to clean battery posts. Route the cables carefully so that the insulation does not rub against body or frame member. Use rubber grommets when passing through metal panels.
5. Under vehicle installation. You will need to fabricate a ‘splash guard’ to protect the compressor from road debris, mud and dirt.

Oasis offers several installation packages for most popular applications. However, you may wish to configure a custom set-up to meet your specific needs. Oasis stocks all necessary components to build your own system.

hey remember when you had that chance test the xd 2000, but some retard from New Mexico blew a fuse to his compressor. yeah that is me (Derek). i think the reason why it blew the fuse is because i put a new alternator that weekend and it had a higher amp rating. my fuse was only rated for 100 amps.
