Good eye. The tread design throws me off. As long as they are asymmetrical then you're good as stated.

Re: My '93 Dime Project - aka "The Cookie Cutter"

technically i'm not sure how much lift cause i forgot to measure it laid out, but at lift the top of the c-notch was at 33in and the top of the frame was at 24in i think... i'll go out tomorrow and measure for sure

but "the cookie cutter" name came from my buddies... they all have mazdas and nissans bagged and they rag me all the time bout how the s10 is so easy to bag w/ all the new bolt-ons and stuff. so they always call it a cookie cutter sayin they jus stamp out bagged dimes and roll em off the assembly line. i come back sayin it aint my fault i got a hand-down and it aint my fault that people dont care to spend as much R&D on mazdas and nissans lol

but i'm lovin the 5 link. tomorrow i'm gonna go play w/ the rear some more takin pics and measuring lift and seeing how much articulation i can get out of it

Re: My '93 Dime Project - aka "The Cookie Cutter"

called the guys i ordered my compressors from and they said everything should ship next week so hopefully they'll be in soon.

also called SD about my lowers and he said they're like 15 sets of control arms behind lol DAMN. but mine should ship out sometime next week also.

things are coming together slowly but surely. jus needin opinions tho... i'm running 1/2" line with 1/2" fittings on the bags but i dont want the dump and fill to be too fast... will 3/8" valves slow it down enough or would it still be pretty quick since everything is still 1/2"?

Re: My '93 Dime Project - aka "The Cookie Cutter"

yeah hopefully everything will be here by next week. i'm kinda caught in a situation with my bed... this guy t-boned me in the bed bout a month ago and instead of sending that one to get worked on again (second time the bed's been hit) i'm wantin to jus find me another bed. i'm thinkin i'll cut this one up and jus use it as a scrap bed to experiment on then get another one to finally set everything up in.

Re: My '93 Dime Project - aka "The Cookie Cutter"

i went half and half with my valves. i use 4 3/8's and 4 1/2's. I use 1/2's on the front fill, 3/8's on front dumps, then for the rear i went 3/8's fills and 1/2's dumps. All with 1/2 lines and fittings except where 3/8 reducers were needed at the valves. It is plenty fast, almost too fast to where its hard to make small adjustments in air pressure. I went this route and if i do pancake up/down, the entire truck lifts and lowers evenly. (kp 6-link, bags on bars)

With the weight of the engine in front i used 1/2's to supply more 'up' force and since the rear has practically no weight, 3/8's were plenty to lift it fast. Vice versa when you dump the truck. The weight of the engine will cuase the front to drop faster than the rear so i went 3/8's in the front to slow it down a little and 1/2 in the rear so it dropped at about the same rate as the front.

You can also use fill and dump controls from sd and you'll be able to fine tune your setup.

Re: My '93 Dime Project - aka "The Cookie Cutter"

right on. i like the adjustments... i've been thinkin bout doing that, but i'm kinda opposite of ya lol i want my stuff to be pretty slow and smooth on the dump. dont really care too much bout the fill but i want the dump to be slower. thanks tho alot of good ideas

No prob. I'm gunna eventually replace all mine with 1/2" Danz and use the fill/dump controls instead.
