Finally did away with my bed today.. man did I hate this thing.

The straight cuts:

Wheel wells partially cut out?

Bed Mount:

Cool 1/4" caked bondo:

As seen in the pics, only 1 bed support was welded back together. A few weeks ago, my front 2 bed mount welds broke off, and the wheel wells were only cut out enough to clear a 24"x6" tire.

And this is whats replacing

Looks like the rear ends leaking a bit where the link brackets cracking off. Those welds to cast definately dont look "proper".

A friend of mines Mighty Max was done like that. Just bondo'd over the stock tails. Got a new bed now with fillers welded in.

If that above S-10 has fillers in it, they did a flawless job on welding them in FLUSH.

Regardless of wheter or not the bed is bolted down, there looks to be a whole can of body filler on one bed corner.
