Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

I really had no idea the 2008's thread would get 4000 replys and so many hacks. With that being said keep the ball rolling.

This is why you don't piece together link bars, the edges were beveled and everything and look how flush the weld is. This bar was re-welded 3 times over and the bead was not flat when it was finished. They were begging to pull apart.

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

Well i have jmews old truck... this was when he owned it and first had it bagged. He yanked it out of the shop when he saw the work and it wasnt finished and had it all redone.. Before and after pics
Just a few of the bad ones

leafspring cut in peices for panhard bar mount

After! its a suicidedoors 5 link with a twist as I say. The rear upper bag bar was made, as the wishbone crossmember on the axle and gastank crossmember.

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

Jesus christ is this thread gonna get whored with welding to cast bullshit too? That shit is annoying, it's already been covered that it can be done if properly prepped and using the right materials, so just ****ing stop already. Besides I don't know if you tards noticed or not but the other side of the pumpkin tabs is a bar that runs to the axle tube.

sorry didnt mean to get my ass e-kicked lol but in most cases the ppl doing it don't know how to properly weld to cast, and even when they say they do cause they have the right materials, most of the time ppl dont bother to preheat it

We all know anyone who is welding to cast on an s10 isn't doing it the correct way. I will always consider it a hack. There are so many ways to work around it. Just spend the extra time and do it.

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

It looks like some overly long bolts holding the shock in a very bad position mounted to bars without enough triangulation.

i've seen that rear end setup before, but where?

Why would you even put shocks there?

Maybe it's some fancy setup where the axle moves forward and back for some odd reason. lol

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

I'm embarrassed to post these. This is from the 1st month that i had my rear bagged. At first i had no shocks, but then i discovered how much i needed them right away and this was the best idea i had at the time. I couldn't find shocks that were short enough when compressed and had the right amount of travel.

Then before i put the floor in I came up with the idea to use some axle shock mounts for my uppers. No more hacks on my truck lol.

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2009 Thread!!

i consider this hacked.. its my buddy t-bird. hes gone through 4 or 5 380's cause of the hacks wiring. STREETBEAT did it in the houston area.. he got hosed. it had like 2 relays per compressor, you could unplug the relays and the compressors would stay running. stuff was grounded to sound deadner.. it was sweet. so me and my buddy(SCOOTCH) on here cleaned it up for him.. he will be getting a different tank soon so we will clean up his valves at that time..

we went to ekstensive and got a dual pack 480...now.. his amp and cap are mounted up on the rear firewall piece. and the relays and all the wiring is behind the back seat. so he can just lift it off and get to it all. he was picking up some wire loom on the way home to cover comp. wiring.
