Re: looking for 2 door blazer 1st gen build logs
to keep a back seat i wouldnt use any setup with a diff bracket, they stick up way to high. Id go with a regular 4 link. Use behind and under brackets to keep that part low. And the most important thing IMO is dont over notch it. Pick a rim size/over all diameter tire you would like to run, and do some measuring and only put the notch as high as you need. Same goes with the driveshaft crossmember

Re: looking for 2 door blazer 1st gen build logs
well with a parallel 4 link, the upper bars are going to come up into a weird spot in the body, then you will have to run a panhard bar or a watts, which will again compete with gastank space. Theres not alot of room. First gen frames are similar enough to second gen ones that you should check out the second gen blazer builds too. Some stuff will be a little different but they similar enough to get a great idea of what space will allow

Re: looking for 2 door blazer 1st gen build logs
or do an underlsung... would be different and probably the diff would only come 4-5"s into the truck.

Re: looking for 2 door blazer 1st gen build logs
I don't have a thread either, so I'll just whore it up a little here. I'm probably not much help though. I'm bodied 4 1/2" and not keeping the rear seat. Plus I'm building a whole new floor and firewall.
![]() ![]() I went with a universal triangulated 4 link and built my own brackets. Last edited by blazerlow : 07-27-2009 at 09:34 PM. |

Re: looking for 2 door blazer 1st gen build logs
That set up looks nice, but seems like it might be a bit big for a backseat.
