Re: lets see your battery mounts!

my plans are to use angle for know unless some one shows me a cool way to do it. just cut out the angle to hold the bottom of the battery and use a wrench with a washer weldedd to it as the hold down then use all thread attached to the tray or something like that.

Re: lets see your battery mounts!

dont have pics but we mounted mine to the outside of the frame infront of the right rear tire. Used angle iron to make a box then used a piece of metal for the bottom then welded it to the frame. Upgraded all the wiring to 0 gauge and ran connections on the core support so if the battery goes dead I dont have to pull the bed to jump it, can just pop the hood still and jump it there

I wanted to mount mine there but my bag is there. If I had to could I jump it from the battery side of the fuse on the core support?

Re: lets see your battery mounts!

Here's mine, sorry or the shitty pics. It's an old 60-70's sheet metal cooler, with the glass bottle openers on the side and some pin stripping a buddy did. It's bolted down through the bed with normal battery tie downs inside.

I'm runnin 0 gauge all the way. Anything less than 2 and you're gonna have problems. Hell some people say 2 is no good.

Since theres alot of tubing work right there, I doubt this truck will have a bed floor, so all you'll have to do it hook jumper cables to top of the battery.

01 Xtreme - boss 327s shaved hood pissers, tailgate, tail lights, and doors. Two toned!

Re: lets see your battery mounts!

If you had to could you jump it off on the battery side if the fuse on the core support? Seems like it would be the same as hooking to the positive on the battery

I still have battery hookups where the battery used to be. If it goes dead I dont have to take the bed off, just pop the hood and jump it. Whenever I get to sheetmetalling the bed, im goin to make hinged doors wherever I have stuff under the bed for easir access. Its a pain in the ass to remove that bed lol
