might be a dumb question, but how bad is it, to have the square d mounted upside down?

Only if you hit allot of bumps ha-ha even then no real noticeable difference. The transverse or horizontal mount would be less susceptible to false trips from bumps.

im bumping this thread for a reason. since djd started this thread, i wanted to know id anyone has had any trouble out of theirs. mine has stuck a couple of times in the year my truck has been bagged. yesterday it wouldnt kick on, and today it wouldnt kick off, allowing my az to pump to like 210-220 but never cut off. i took some wd40 and sprayed a little on it and its now kicking off at 200 like it should. i just wanted to see who else has had this problem, or any at all.

WD40 will gum up in the elements. use 100% silicone lube man!

i just looked and i used this zep45. im sure its probably the same as wd40. just didnt know the name at the time of the post.

im about to toss mine and get the 165/200 sd is selling now. my square d is still acting up.

you choose what pressure you want your compressors to turn on and off at. i personally like my square d

Mine sticks every once in a while, so I just try to shut my comp off before it trips. But if it does stick, i just pull the cover off and tap the contacts closed.

what size wire do i use to run from the battery to the pressure switch and where do i hook that wire up to? which symbol? do i ground my compressors on the frame or somewhere good and the positives go into the square d?
