How long to bag the rear?
I have a bolt on 4 link and bolt on step notch from custom connection. My air system is already plumbed and wired I just have to bag the rear now. I'm fairly familiar with a lot of this stuff (I'm a mechanic) and dam very confident in doing it but I just have no clue how long it will take me I have all the tools on hand. Torches welders air tools grinder ect. I took may 12-16 off work do you guys think 5 straight days of working on this thing with some help from a few friends and my father will get this done within that time or sooner ?

Re: How long to bag the rear?
I was in same position, had everything wired up just had to stick airline into valves. Already had notch installed tho. To setup the link, took 7 hours from tear down to having it drivable.

Yeah just take your time, no rushing it or you'll eventually end up redoing it

Re: How long to bag the rear?
Well change of plans now I'm going from the 9th till 13th I'm hoping to have it driving by Saturday night or before to get tweaking if any all sorted out so I can drive up for a family BBQ for mothers day
Do you guys have any tips for things I should do to get the truck ready before I start that may make it easier but still make the truck drivable every day. I do not have any of my 4 link parts here tho so I can't do any of that. I haven't really looked under the truck much but do I need to relocate brake lines or anything like that? It's boa setup Im guessing I might have to move the line going over the axle wherei mount the bag brackets. I thought about cutting the bed but don't wanna have it exposed right now and figure it would be easier to cut for the notch when the bed is off. I don't think there's anything else I can really do except wait I guess. I'm hating this waiting game I would have died if I had to wait any longer than I do |

Re: How long to bag the rear?
its not all that difficult. you can pull off your bed now and start putting the notches in place along with relocating some stuff like the evap canister. are you reusing your gas tank? that may need to be relocated with a 4 link

And yes I will be reusing my gas tank I have a raised xmember but stupid me left all my 4 link parts and notches down at my father place which is 4 hours away and the next time I'm going there is 2 weeks when do the rear. I keep forgetting about that evap canister. Any tips on the best place to relocate that ?

Re: How long to bag the rear?
Yes.
If you have your tank and compressor, an relay, I'd go ahead and get that mounted up. |
