It needs Logic though

For a Light organ controlled truck you would have to use latching relays and flip flop logic so it knows it just went down so the next move is up an so on.

I agree man! and I told myself I would not put on the AZ's until the 380's Died... I am still waiting lol

The 380's being some of the most efficient output to amp draw they fell right in place with my Boost system, Big thanks to Sammy again for me if you can!

Re: Guitar hero Switch Box!

Doug or MeltingPlastic.... when using a reed relay I'd want to get some with a 12v coil to be able to wire it to our truck's 12v electrical system, correct?

Re: Guitar hero Switch Box!

you need to hook that up to a rockband drum set that is bolted in the back of the truck, and make it hop when you hit the pads.

unless you wired in the pedal to know up and down, like hold it down for down and let off for up.

i thought about that, but that would get confusing... it would work... it would take more planning it is only a single switch, unlike the guitar hero's double switch

We can sell you a pre-wired relay box that we build our ARC-9 switch boxes out of for $80. It has all 8 internal relays with a 7' cord. You'll have a feed wire (-12) and 8 negative trip wires to the relay coils. It also has two negative remote inputs on the terminal strip for all up and all down functions. PM or email me at jeff@avsontheweb if ur interested.

So,.. does this mean that I can remove the relay box, from my old retired Airtronix ps2 controller, and use it as the relays for one of these? If so,. is it just as easy as cutting off the guitar plug, and assigning the buttons and strum bar function wires with the corresponding valve relay? or would I actually need to do some work within the guitar?

Yeah, I've actually PM'd him about getting details on how he did it with no response. I know that it wasn't a new idea or anything, just something that you don't see every day. Hopefully once I get some more ideas goin', I'll be able to figure it out! lol

Re: Guitar hero Switch Box!

thats a great switch box, but unless you ran the boost system or extremely high pressure you couldn't play but a few seconds at a time.... at least from my perspective. my truck doesn't get but a few full lifts out of my 5 gallon tank with 4 re7 bags all around.

5gal with 4 re7s is a real small air set up. Also depends if your running the system at 150 or 200psi.

i am running it at 150 but how much better would it be at 200? i have 2 az's and 1 sanden sd-7. i have been a little wherry about running the az's at 200 even though that is what they are rated for, seems like i recall reading that a lot of guys ran their az compressors at 150 for a long time and went to 200 and then they fizzled out on them. just asking before i go buy a 200psi pressure switch.
