fake drop spindles? how to tell ?? 2in..

im looking in to buying some spindles from another forum and i need to know what i should look for or how i can tell if they really are a 2in drop spindle?

. can i measure any part to tell the actual difference before i get schrewed on a stock set.

he said they came from a friend who had them in a 2/3 drop set from chassistech.

he wants $75 so i offered him 50. but idk if they are even really a drop spindle ??????

not sure about chassistech but i know belltech has a stamp in the back IIRC its like 2100. but like i said i dont know if chassistech did the same. gl man

I got my truck with some chasis tech drop spindles and they say bullit or something like that.

all have some sort of marking

plus you can tell the difference

Here is a spindle comparison. As you can see, the drop spindle has a higher snout location. This is how it lowers the truck but still retains the ride quality you had before.
stock < >aftermarket

The easiest way is to look at the back of the spindle because of how its pressed in..

The spindle itself is pressed into the cast portion of the unit. If it is pressed in right above the lower balljoint pad, it is a stock spindle. If it is pressed in right in the middle of the two balljoints, it is a drop spindle.

That is exactly how I look for them at the junkyard. They sell them for $23 there so every time I see a set I grab 'em.

thanks for the info, i bought some drop spindles on craigs a while ago and just the other day i was thinking if there were realy drop spindles lol
