Dragging At Wyotech (Blairesville, PA)

***Note Quicktime needed to watch videos***
and sorry for quality it was with my phone... hopefully i can get the actual footage from the camcorders soon

well this weekend i went up to wyotech to check out the school and hangout wit my friend mike and all his buddies he lives with. anyways i got there took the tour, alright school, then met up wit my buddy mike and went to the carwash to meet his buddy ryan wit a bagged isuzu. then we went to the bank

http://media.putfile.com/19717 <--video at the bank with ryan throwing sides

anyways that night we went back to where mike lived... Grammar School if u live at Wyo u know where im tlakin aobut.. anyways ryan went and bought some titanium blocks to drag with for the night (40$ for 2 blocks 4in x 4in x 2in). so then we went in the garage to put them on... after killing 4 corless battery drills (the battery) we decided to go up to walmart and buy a corded and return it after we did some frame drilling. Once we finished installing blocks and buring shit outside we went out front to watch ryan light up his titanium infront on the grammar school on highway 22. First past looked kick ass, looked like a ****ing rocket Drive by

http://media.putfile.com/2988 <-video of ryan dragging by dorms

then after he past by we alll went to load up for some crusing/draggin

http://media.putfile.com/36558 <-- cruising and dragging.

and well after about 2 miles down the road. we had to pull over on the side.

oh no Bag Troubles

So the damage was the titanium block on the passenger side sparked up and i guess grounded out his power wire (he has his battery in the bed) so all the power on his truck shut off.... and then the passenger front airline got a leak from the sparks. so around 12:30 is when we broke down.

anyways back to the story. after we all pulled over a the bridge where he broke down we tried to figure out what happened... aobut 5 min later we hear sirens... not any normal sirens... they sounded like a freaking tornado warning siren. so then about 6 cars left so we could just play it off as the truck broke down. instead of we where draggin and the truck broke down. So once the fire marshall got there he said someone reported a crash. (guess the lady that slammed on the brakes once she got sparks thrown her way got scared) . wel after he left, we went back to the dorms to get wamred up a bit, and try to figure out how we where gonna get his truck back since he had no air/power and the truck was laying frame. so at about 2 we went back out to get the truck back to the dorms. well we had some entertainment while we worked on the truck out in like 20 degree weather and on the side of a highway and on a bridge

http://media.putfile.com/44637 <-- some crazy guy named JJ on his Bike with alan wrenches attached to his boots scrapping and i tell u this was one CRAZY mother ****er.. not only was it freezing... but this man would get both legs on one side of the bike... get off the bike and drag his feel while doin 60+mph

We decided to take out the bags in the front, and replace with wood blocks. and on the rear we put some 2x4s across the pumpkin and bridge

And here is the Video of our return with all the hazards on driving 15 mph in a 55

http://media.putfile.com/58379

anyways lessoned learned with putting airline/ powerline on frame.

Sorry about the quality again i will try to get the acucally footage from the 2 camcorders we had later

Re: Dragging At Wyotech (Blairesville, PA)

Is that the PNC bank?! I guess 22 was fixed up pretty good I knew they were working on it when I was still there. That was the shittiest road. Anyways I know the feeling, my truck did pretty much the same thing when I bagged mine and took it out for a spin for the 1st time. Truck completely shut down and had to pull over in some random neigborhood. This was durning a tornado storm too. I was freaking out pretty good haha cuz I pretty much left it on the side of the road and went home to wait out the storm.. Truck was not damged, whew!!

hrm... u know what i lied... the dragging video was not on 22.... maybe it was 119.....

sorry im not too good with the roads... but it was right infront of a sheetz and Gs2... i think it was 119

But that bank might have been PNC... it was right across from Valley Dairy

Actually I'm wrong too haha 22 wasnt it. Your right its 119 that goes right by the grammer school. You went by the sheetz in Black Lick.

that isuzu is pretty lame also lol no wonder you were blowing bags.. also sparks from dragging will not ground out your battery or make your air lines leak. ghetto

sorry buddy but the sparks could and did ground out and put a hole in airline... first off the power wire he had running along the frame rail, with sparks from titanium throwing up sparks right on the wire is bound to do burn it up. and it had to ground out since the wire is now burnt to the frame... and i didnt look under the truck but the wire and airline must have crossed paths somewhere, so i think the power wire burnt thru the airline once it grounded out. and we didnt blow any bags... all ryan has to do is run 1 airline and 1 new powerwire... Ez enough... lessoned learned dont run ur wires on ur framerail where sparks will spark up and hit them.

and bagged bowtie... i wont be going up to wyo for a while.. but if u guys plan on going out i can call my buddy mike to get some of his guys together to go out dragging... once i bag my truck this winter im going to go back up to wyo once all the snow is gone and go dragging. so if ur still up there i will get them all together and we can go out dragging

again.... no sparks will not ground out your wires... unless you cut a chunk of metal off and miraculously cut into your insulation big time...

Re: Dragging At Wyotech (Blairesville, PA)

haha, damn seems like there are more and more 'techers popping up on here. wanna hear something messed up? one of the local high school teachers assigned a paper where the students are required to write about what they can do to make the WyoTech kids not drive like assholes. WyoTech owns this town. Wal-Mart wouldn't even be here without us. we painted and repair the local cop cars for free and all they do is hassle the students and teachers here. ah well, i have been here since April and will still be here through June so i might as well get used to it

glad to see there are a bunch of S10F'ers around here though.

haha, damn seems like there are more and more 'techers popping up on here. wanna hear something messed up? one of the local high school teachers assigned a paper where the students are required to write about what they can do to make the WyoTech kids not drive like assholes. WyoTech owns this town. Wal-Mart wouldn't even be here without us. we painted and repair the local cop cars for free and all they do is hassle the students and teachers here. ah well, i have been here since April and will still be here through June so i might as well get used to it

glad to see there are a bunch of S10F'ers around here though.
ya mike was tellin me about how much the cops hate the wyo kids. oh well.... i just cant wait to drag on them

Re: Dragging At Wyotech (Blairesville, PA)

I remember painting one of those cop cars me and 4 others from my class. We stayed sat. morning til like 3:00 am finishing that thing. I've never been so tired. Anyways I've been pulled over 5 times since living in b-town for a 1yr&3 months. Never got a ticket except a fix ticket for my tint. Anybody here got George Plunkett for a landlord?? I had him and I lived on the n. brady st house, he is has got to be the worst landlord ever!! The list is too long to or my reasons why but one was when I left I got 43$ back from my 400$ security deposit.

wonder why they would do that? basically because every kid who goes to school there drives like a total f##khead. always have, always will. it was the same way when i was there in 2000-2001. the cops hate techers ( squirrels) because we 1) take up all the local hotties and 2) have nice rides and 3) drive like dicks.
@ 3 or whatever time school is out, it's like a damn drag race outta there... and everyone who drive around there thinks they got something fast, or low or whatever and have to show off with it. kids @ wyotech are retarded, i was when i was there too. for example my gf's family lives in blairsville and whenever her dad has his muscle car outside all the ricers drive by and rev up their engines ( ) just kids being stupid i guess..... be respectful of your surroundings. if you wanna drag, go do it in the middle of nowhere, but don't drag into sheetz just to look cool and tear something up. for every 1 person that thinks your stuff is cool, theres 4 who think it's stupid. save the dragging/racing for the track/show/cruise
