Yeah good luck with a pc fan, unless it's not a pc fan that i'm thinking of.
You'd be better off to find a medium sized e fan. |

Re: Ditching the heater box....
im kinda thinking the same... i was going to go with two of them and mount them in the lil flap that on the inside of the HVAC box under the dash... the one thats controlled by the lever on the dash that opens and closes each side.... wonder what else kinda fan will fit?

Re: Ditching the heater box....
i would take my had and put it next to ure pc where the fan is, and u can barely feel the air flow. i would go back to the drawing boards and think up of some other fan. Google will prolly be ure best bet on finding a fan to produce the flow yet still be fairly small.

Re: Ditching the heater box....
yeah true,,, it is a blazer not a dime.... think ill gut the heating in the dash and make my own heater with maybe a 8inch fan useing the stock heater core... ya ya i know i can go to jegs and break out the plastic and order me one of them hottrod heaters but.... thats no fun... its built not bought... unless they make a turbo PC fan... lol

Re: Ditching the heater box....
as i was reading ure post i had the hotrod heater box idea pop in my head then read ure line. lol. but the most CFM i found from a PC fan was only about 500CFM. and when u put that into something as big as our heater boxes it will still amount to nothing. i would maybe go to the local u pick it yard and see about just finind a small car with a small blower and make a box to work.

Re: Ditching the heater box....
use an electric heater
edit: Nevermind. I just saw you have a blazer... my electric heater barely heats up my STD cab. |

Re: Ditching the heater box....
Vintage Air sells heaters with or without defrost that are small and will fit in 1/2 the space as your original, and they work. Check them out on line or call 1-800-to cool u. Just sayin'.
