Bag Taking Longer To Fill
I have noticed in the past few days that my passenger rear bag doesnt fill as fast as the other rear bag. If I hold the switch for the rear open I can watch the pasenger rear bag SLOWLY level out to the same height as the other bag. I have 8 valves but only have front back hooked up right now. I cleaned the fill the other day but it didnt change anything. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
if ur running a front back im assuming ur runign a tee to split ur line scheck the line that runs to the slow bag a pinch in the line would slow air flow

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
if its an smc valve there will be an arrow on them pointing in direction of flow, if you put a valve in backwards it will still work but it will use only 50% of its capacity(just a thought i have seen it before)

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
Is the line to the slow bag longer than the line to the fast bag or are they the both the same length , also how old is your set up are you running a water trap if your not you could have a chunk of rust in the line from the tank

I dont think you'll have a "chunk of rust".

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
I know the valve is installed correctly cause it worked fine a few days ago and then started acting up. I can take the line off and see if there is anything in it but I doubt it.

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
Roughly about 2 years old I am guessing. I have had them on my truck for little over a year now. I bought them off a buddy who had them on a truck for about a year.

Re: Bag Taking Longer To Fill
Process of elimination...
1. swap the p/s air line to the d/s. does it happen on p/s still? 2. swap the line at the valve side from p/s to d/s valve. does it still happen on p/s 3. switch valves on tank ports or switch the wiring temporarily. Did the result change? I'd start there and keep moving along until I found the culprit. Good luck. Sounds like a valve issue to me though. |
