Re: Bag on bar placement?

weld a plate to the lower bar that the bag can mount to and then gusset the plate to the bar and it will be fine

Re: Bag on bar placement?

wouldnt hurt to add a gusset under the bar. better to overdo it than not enough right?

Re: Bag on bar placement?

if you mount the bag offset on the bar its gonna make the bar twist and its gonna eat up bushings

Re: Bag on bar placement?

I also know this I'm going to get it as centered as possible but will still have to offset it alittle so I can bolt it to the bag mount on the bar. Trying to do this on a small price margin all my moneys going torge my wedding right now.

Re: Bag on bar placement?

your bag doesn't have 3 bolt holes on lower plate? that sucks... are you using the lower bag cup as well or just plate to bar?

Re: Bag on bar placement?

Turn the bags 90 degrees and weld a circle plate on the top of the bar. The bags can now be centered and have 2 lower mounting points.

I'd almost say that bar is too thin.

Re: Bag on bar placement?

Is there a reason you are mounting your bags that close to the axle. It defeats the purpose of having BOB unless it's just where you want it due to limited room or something?

not completely. a third of the way instead of half rides amazing. takes less pressure, and nobody needs all the lift that middle bar placement offers.

Re: Bag on bar placement?

No.... All you have to do is think of a see saw. It's only effective 50% and greater past the fulcrum point

Re: Bag on bar placement?

I just want bag on bar I dnt care much for a lot of lift bc I have no use for it as long as it rides good and I have a triangle notch so I didn't wanna do bag over axle like the prevous owner

Re: Bag on bar placement?

I notched the frame for bag clearance a few times. Just took a massive piece of tubing and cut it in half
