I personally have never heard anyone having ANY problems with our water traps. Did you guys call or let us know about the problem? These traps do have a warranty. Get in touch with me and I'll get it handled...

Re: AVS water traps

I had a problem with the threads on my 3/8 one, and I called about it, and was told just to send it back. I needed it right away, so I got a thread cleaner and ran it through, and it sealed up fine after that.

I agree. These things are so much smaller then they look, when they advertise them.

Just FYI on almost all brands the body/cups are smaller on 3/8" and 1/4" traps. If you want a larger trap it is best to go with 1/2" and reduce the fittings.

Re: AVS water traps

I am talking the size of the whole thing. The whole trap itself is 3-4 inches long.

Yes, that is what I was referring to also. The body size of the 3/8" on just about any brand, ASCO, SMC, Etc. is considerably smaller than the body of the 1/2' traps. For example: the SMC trap is roughly 40-50% smaller than the 1/2" SMC trap
