4 linked x blazer.
I'm getting ready to order the parts to bag my truck. I'm going to do the super pivot super lift 4 link kit. Is that kit all I need to do the rear of my blazer the right way the first time. And that's the bag on bars thing right? Then for the front I'm putting re7s . I'm running 255/30/22 what size cup do I need the 2 inch or the 3inch? Also where would the best part for the valves. At the tank or as close to the bags? Would two viair 480s be enough air? One last question for now. Tanks. I read on sd.com on diff. Ones but they're only rated at 150 psi. Would running them with a 200psi pressure switch be ok? Or would I take a chance of blowing a tank?

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
the 2" cups will work fine. placing the valves all depends on how quick you want the bags to fill. the 480s work great just depend on what size tank you plan on using the tanks have 150psi on them just to save the companies ass if anything happens but you will be fine filling it to 200psi |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
ok so how big of a difference in speed would it be if i put them at the tank rather than close to the bag? does anyone have any vids of their blazer with the same kit and placement of valves? and for the 480s ill most likely be using 2 8 gallon tanks what would be better. 8s or 5s?
for as far as shocks and sway bars. what kinda difference would it make to keep or do way with them? in front and rear. thanks! Last edited by ROBERT 04XBLZ : 11-07-2009 at 12:52 PM. |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
i would not put them at the bag. my blazer used to have them right on the bag, and the ass end would come off the ground(not fun while you're doin 80 down the road)
and there is no point in having 2 8 gallon tanks, unless you are just a switch happy sob. i have 2 3 gallon tanks on mine, and have no problem with anything. mine had 2 5 gallon tanks before, and it took forever to fill up. |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
why run 2 3s instead of just 1 5?
edit.. ok i just confused myself. 8 valves. thats for front back side side correct? would i need a tank with 8 ports or the 4? im lost on how it would be wired and how each valve would different to do each corner individually. also if each valve needs its own port. where would the compressors connect to the tank? im reaallllyyy confused haha. Re: 4 linked x blazer.
bc they fit better than a 5 would've:
![]() and i would do 8 valves. it would be 4 up, 4 down. 2 valves for each corner. and each set only uses one port. no vids, but i have pics: http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...blazer%20SFBD/ or my project thread on here |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
i dont understand how both valves would work on one port. so that means i would only need a 4 valve tank. if the valves are together how do they work seperately. if theyre together wouldnt both need to open to allow the air to pass. so wouldnt that make it the same as using just 4 valves? im lost.

not trying to be a dick, but you need to do alot more research. once you understand it, you'll realize how simple it is

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
okay i understand why you need 8 valves. i found a sticky. and why you need 8 valve tanks. drain. valves. compressors and pressure switch...
one thing im still lost on is how the valves would be wire and lines to them to work for dump and fills. if the bags are just single ports. |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
still wondering on the super pivot super lift 4link kit. is that the only kit needed to do the rear correct? also i read that i would have to lose the front sway bar to hit sides? or is that wrong? id like to keep front and rear sway bars.

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
i have dual 480s on a 7 gallon tank and takes a little over 6 min to fill from 0 psi or 2 min to fill from 170psi. i can hit the front up and down 4 times before i have to wait for the tank to fill again. |

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
Like stated before i would do alot more research. I had 2 480s on 2 5 gallons and it took 10.45 min to fill it from 0-200. so i ended up just keeping them hooked to one 5 gal. it fills it pretty quick.

Re: 4 linked x blazer.
you get told to do more research b/c all the questions you have have been answered a 1000x's over
read, read, read, and read some more for your valves: tank - fill valve - bag fill airline - dump valve (its pretty simple) the line that goes to you bag is sandwiched by your valves, the first valve allows the air to go from the tank to the bag when open.... the second valve dumps the air in the bag and the line Last edited by mr. steve : 11-07-2009 at 06:32 PM. |
