It does look good. It will look even better when you get those half circles off the bottom of the frame rails. We'll fix that.

I forgot to ask you, does the raised X member take care of the driveline angle issuie or do I still need to keep my JTR spacer atop it as well?

Re: Pics of the 2/3 on the 03 ZQ8

I haven't installed the crossmember yet, but I don't think it corrects the driveline angle. The spacer isn't too hard to put in as long as you can still get underneath your truck it's held on by two bolts, just soak em in pb blaster and they're a breeze.

Oh ya,its easy,I already installed my driveline kit when I did my 2/3.

No it does not. It is supposed to be exactly the same mounting height for the carrier bearing. It is just designed to not hang down below the frame. However, it for some reason raised mine about 1/8". That was just enough to make the drive shaft hit the floor board under acceleration. I had to have a machine shop shave 1/4" off the spacer and no problems. I asked Jason about this and he said that should not have happened, but it did. My luck I guess.

Re: Pics of the 2/3 on the 03 ZQ8

Yes,stock ZQ8 Billsteins though.
Theres no actual suspension geometry change over the ZQ8 with the 2/3,you just move the centerlines of the axles up.
Crap,ya my JTR alignment kit put my shaft very close too the floor, hopefully this wont raise it anymore.

The JTR kit is designed to get it up as close as possible to decrease the angles as much as possible. They say ideally they would raise it a little further but there's no more room with the stock floor.

Re: Pics of the 2/3 on the 03 ZQ8

not to whore or anything...but Josh, I had a slightly different experience with midas. I really wish I never went there to be honest.
Jeff if you do go to midas, be wary. When I got my alignment the first time, I arrived there at about 9:30. I didn't leave the building till about 12:30. Granted it was first come first serve, but it shouldn't take them an hour and a half to do an alignment (1 1/2 hr wait). I don't think they'd ever seen a lowered s-10 come into their shop before. Not only was the manager I dealt with a douche, a couple weeks later I noticed that I had about 2 or 3 degrees of negative camber on the driver's side...static! My passenger side had between 1/2 and a degree of positive camber! I pretty much said eff it and went somewhere else to get it taken care of while it got new tires as well. Needless to say I'm not goin back.

Re: Pics of the 2/3 on the 03 ZQ8

Well,I called ahead, told em my truck was lowered and what I did, lady noted it and I made an apointment.
On my paperwork,my truck was listed in the ZQ8 subcategory for the S-10,dont know if it makes a diffrence or not.
The dude at Midas in Mattoon was great,we chatted a bit about lowered trucks and how he has seen ALOT of hack jobs on lowered trucks so.....dunno if I just got lucky or what but he was kool.
No negative effects yet,but all Ive done is drove home and drove around town a bit running erronds so.

Re: Pics of the 2/3 on the 03 ZQ8

that's cool, at least the dude you talked to knew jack about lowered trucks, the manager I talked to was giving me this whole line, saying stuff like 'oh uh we can only return it to stock spec (like I was looking for something different) and we can't make any guarantees that it won't chew tires or anything'. He kinda failed to mention that while I was on the phone with him the day before.

You probably shouldn't have as much trouble as I did since you didn't need to do anything with the springs. How's it ride? Do you hit tire on the fender at all?
