Question Which leaf to pull on a Z85?

I just did the 2/3 drop on my truck and I love the stance...only thing is it rides like a damn wagon due to my Z85 suspension. The roads here in Pontiac, MI suck, so I need to get some better ride quality

I would like to avoid buying new springs, so is there a leaf I can pull to soften up the ride without lowering the truck anymore than it already is?

Again, I like the stance and want it to stay that way, but I gotta lose the spring board suspension in the back.....

Any suggestions?

What'd you use to drop it, what's a Z85, does it just ride bad out back, how close is the suspension to the bumpstops?

Z85 is the heavy duty springs.

Sorry, I have no idea what spring to pull.

Ok, never heard of it. Just get some stock S10 springs they're really cheap and a pulled leaf will drop you about 1.5"

Take a pic of your leafs, your pack may just be a regular S10 leaf w/ extra leafs added on.

z85 springs came on zr2s also, theyre just an added leaf so like said, get a set from a junkyard from a non z85 package, I dont believe they raised you as much as an inch n a half but theyll prolly sit a little bit lower as z85s were just stiffer springs, but it shouldnt look out of place or anything give it a try at least

Well if they're just an added leaf then he should be able to remove 2 leafs

Re: Which leaf to pull on a Z85?

depends on the year, i dunno when the transfer time was, i think 94 but my 98 z85 had the same number of leafs as a regular pack.
i pulled the second longest leaf and it made things a LOT smoother, but it didnt drop me much at all.
my stock z85 didnt sit any higher stock than a usual s10 either.
