Tis be odd

While setting my truck up to do an alignment,I see this. These are only supposed to be 3 inch coils.I ordered them for a 6 cylinder.Do any of you guys have no clearance between your front bumpstop and frame?

Re: Tis be odd

what drop where you shooting for? i hope with that much drop you have spindles up front too... i wish there was a way to go beyone my 5/6 i would love to be an inch lower in the front. i mean i got about 2/3 of a soda can clearance just a hair above a sideways can. but i would love the look of being one inch lower. guess im going to have to put a v6 in my 4cyl truck to that extra inch

Re: Tis be odd

I had a similar problem with my 1" belltech coils. the coils dropped me 2" (measured extensively) which caused horrible tire rub (had spindles too), weird thing is i have a 4 cyl so its not like they accidentally sent me the wrong springs. I also redid the springs 6 times and exchanged them twice. each spring was covering 1 1/2 drain hole, also the drop was even on BOTH sides and was the same even with both sets. im still stumped on why 2 sets of springs did that. i understand if i did it wrong it would raise my truck but i have no clue.

In your case i would say they sent you 4 cyl springs. Just wondering, what company did you get them from?

Yep you don't need them......lol

I havn't had bump stops on the front or back of my truck in almost the year I've had it and went from static drop to bagged. I just cut off the rear bump stop brackets today while at work. I'll get around to bagging the rear one day. I had the 3" springs and 2" spindles in the front.

x2 the front bump stops are your friend, rear ones are evil.

Besides, every town's roads are different, just because you don't bottom out the front doesn't mean they wont either.
