Spindles?

Hey guys!

So I am just learning the lifestyle. Recently engaged to a mini trucker And I need a little help!

So my fiancee drives a 2003 lowered S10 that is bagged. But it won't lay frame. My fiancee says he needs spindles. I want to get him some for his birthday. Can someone help me out. I am a little unsure of where to get them and what type to get. I had made a account here before and spoke to a guy that would sell me some but he ended up not selling them to me. So I am back to square one. I am learning everyday about mini truckin, so if anyone minds explaining exactly what spindles would do? I honestly want to understand his passion so I can have my own passion for it. Any advice?

Re: Spindles?

Drop spindles help get the truck lower by moving the part of the spindle the wheel/brakes/etc attach to up 2" making the truck sit that much lower without anything else on the suspension changing.

I usually end up buying new spindles from Summit because they only charge a $10 handling fee and no shipping. Buying used ones from someone online isn't always the best deal because shipping is pretty high because they're so heavy. Always depends on the sale price though.

Re: Spindles?

Thanks! So what information do I need when getting the spindles? Just year make and model? He has the S10 on 20's. Not sure if that makes any difference?

Yea, you'll just need to know year, make, model; that's it.

Re: Spindles?

as long as its a 2wd pickup you will need a set of belltech 2100 spindles for a 82 - 03 s10. If its a 98 or newer 2wd blazer you will need a different set of spindles.

Re: Spindles?

he is gonna need more than drop spindles to lay on those 20"s but its a good start. $150 is a good price for new spindles

^ditto

I believe http://www.performancecenter.com has the best prices on those spindles and Summit will match their prices as well.
